Sunday afternoon

I just thought since it's October 1st, I'd give an update on how I'm doing.
My original list is HERE if you want to see all the books I chose.

I picked 7 books and the read along.
This is what I've completed so far.

Anyone who knows me, knows I'm in love with Harry Dresden, so of course I loved this one.
Vampires, Wizards, Creatures and things that go bump in the night!

Just a fun para-normal romance--with changlings.  And mind control.  You know...all those romantic kinds of things.

Loved this gothic short story collection.
The birds!  Holy Cow!
So different from the Hollywood movie, but so good.

And I am almost done with this one...
I am not loving it as much as I thought I would, tho.
Lizzy Borden fascinates me, so I hope I change my mind soon.

So I have done a great job I feel.  And next week I get to spend a week in a cabin in the woods--Perfect to finish up my challenge.
Not so perfect as there is no internet.

How are you doing on your R.I.P. Challenge?

November Sunday afternoons

The reason I love Thanksgiving time....
We live in Northern Nevada and while it might look nice outside, it is still cold.
I love it when it is cold outside, but the sun is shining and my kitchen is warm with the oven cooking things.

It smells good..... we also have a fire in the fireplace, Rich is up on the rooftop now, putting up Christmas lights...before it snows and he can't get up there.

We have noises in our house (and we are not very "green" on Sunday afternoons), Football on one TV, no on is watching, but they come thru every so often to check the scores.
I have the food network on in the kitchen....and somewhere I can hear a distant radio playing, very softly.

My Christmas cards are waiting to be addressed.

Rich and Dustin in the garage getting out Christmas decorations. (When they're not up on the roof)

I like the noises and smells of the Sunday before Thanksgiving. It's just a lazy nice day.

I think I'll make some macaroni and cheese.

And tomorrow....you will see the end result....

Gather, Cook, Share, Repeat. 💖💕💗💞 My heart looks like this when we're together. This is Doug. Doug is not happy.  Doug is a fireman....
