Saturday Snapshot

Saturday Snapshot hosted by Alyce from At Home With Books, is going on today, so I thought I'd pop on in with these photos of a Turkey Buzzard.

It you recall, the Handyman and I are taking a photography class.   It's going okay.  I really am enjoying it  (and the eating out with friends before we go to class).  I am learning lots of great 'book stuff', but I still mostly just  point and shoot, which is what I did when we came upon this old buzzard.
I was even sitting in the car, taking them from the window (which I did remember to roll down, thank goodness)

He decided he didn't like me taking pictures of him and took off!!

I figure this is just a prelude to  the SPRING WINGS FESTIVAL, which I'm headed to in a couple of weeks.
I went last year and you can see that in this post and in this post.
and this year we have T-shirts:

Yep.
I know how to have a good time!

So are buzzards like vultures? I think I always thought so. What a wide wingspan! Thanks for sharing with us!

Love the one where it's wings point down, that is so cool. I'm glad you're enjoying your photo class.

The buzzard is great but I especially love the soft swirly sky and the misty mountains in the background.

I love the mountains in the background of the first picture--at first I thought they were clouds!

Your eyes and hands were as fast as the bird's flight.
Very nice photos of the curves of its wings. The mountain adds to the story.

That first flying shot is fantastic! And I thought those mountains were the sky in the first photo - like a Van Gogh sky painting. :) Then I looked at the next photo and realized they were mountains.

Love the flight photo. I've had quite a few grumpy birds fly away from me, too! LOL
