Saturday Snapshot

Today is Saturday and it's time for
hosted by

To participate in Saturday Snapshot: post a photo that you (or a friend or family member) have taken. How much detail you give in the caption is entirely up to you. Please don’t post random photos that you find online.

For some reason, dead trees have always attracted me.
1 dead tree calls to me, but this summer when we took a drive up to Hat Point, there were many dead trees.
Products of a forest fire a few years prior.

Forest Fires make me sad and I hate that the trees are gone...
....but the photos are still kinda cool.

Amazing that the old fire lookout station was not burned.

Amazing how beautiful the dead trees look. And I think nature does have a way of restoring things.

Dead trees always make me sad too Debra but like you I just can't help not taking their pictures. A few times I have gone back to where there was once a slew of dead trees like these only to find regeneration taking place. Amazing!

Your pictures are pretty amazing too. I love seeing your prospective:)

Thanks for sharing, Debra...

P.S. There are no "rules" for Cookbook Wednesday. Do a post, say what you want, or not and link:) I'm having a problem with a link app I may even look into Mr. Linky. For the time being, just leave your post link in the comment section and I will post the image. Or, wait until this coming Wednesday and I might have a better system. I was actually doing Cookbook Wednesday as my posts when others requested they be included and so, Cookbook Wednesday was started. It will be going on until the end of the year at least. I CAN NOT wait to see what you share Debra...

Gorgeous photos -- of the trees and of the mountains in the background. I hope the forest renews itself quickly.
Here are my Saturday Snapshots.

Dead trees are sad - but they do make spectacular photos. My Snapshot is at http://chriscross53.blogspot.co.uk/2014/11/poppis-at-tower.html

I agree that the trees look neat, but hate that they look that way due to a fire. We live at the edge of a forest and a few years ago there was a fire that almost reached our land. Very scary!

I also love the blue of the sky and the mountains in the background.

They'd be awesome as photos on a wall!

An amazing collection of photos- the burnt trees are beautiful. Incredible that it was a few years ago- our Australian trees would have regenerated more than these have by now.

Wow! Interesting to see just what comes back first below the skeletons of those trees!
