Friday Friend Recipe #204 -- Artichoke Dip

I have neglected my cookbook countdown!  It's time to get back on track.

Making my way thru my Friday Friend Cookbook, one recipe at a time.

What is the Friday Friend cookbook? I had about 50 of my closest friends and family on an e-mail forum which I called the Friday Friends (from all over the county). At first, most of them didn't know each other, (they knew me) but over the past 18 years, we've answered and shared silly--and serious---questions, exchanged Secret Santa Christmas gifts, had a dieting contest in which we paid a $1 a week and that money went to a scholarship fund for a Friday Friends son's memorial scholarship, and we went on a great vacation for my 52 birthday. (plus so much more....)

AND, we contributed recipes for a cookbook.
I was looking at the cookbook the other night and I said, "I should make every recipe in here for my blog."
The Handyman--who knows me better than I know myself (this happened to be a question on the Friday Friend forum once---does your spouse/partner know you better than you know yourself?)--said,  "you'll never, EVER do that."

WELL---maybe I'll show him!  Maybe I will.

Which brings me to this... recipe #204
Adria's Artichoke Dip

This is so good, I could eat the whole, rich, creamy bowlful all by myself!  And then later be racked with guilt for doing so... but even knowing that in advance...it wouldn't stop me.
It's yummy goodness!

This is Adria's 2nd appearance in the Friday Friend Cookbook countdown.
When we were neighbors, Adria had a weekly meal plan--one that she stuck too consistently.
Tuesdays were tacos, Fridays was for pizza.
She never ever deviated from her meal plan.
She liked to pour over cookbooks like I did, but she never stressed or had to think twice about what she was making for dinner.
Only the weekends were hers to experiment with new recipes--and thinking back, maybe only on Saturday, because Sundays were reserved for spaghetti.
I always admired that -- so I tried to have a meal plan too.  It lasted about 10 days--and then I saw something new I wanted to make..... (squirrel!  Those of you who saw the movie UP, will know what I'm talking about!)

Adria below with her mom and her daughter, Cassie.
I remember the day Cassie was born--I worked at the elementary school our boys went to and she called the office, who in turn called me to take the phone call, and I got to go into Mr. Smith's 4th grade class and let her son Michael know that he had a brand new baby sister.

Michael is the one on the left.  First he had a sister Cassie and then a little brother Bradley.  I got to tell him about both of them.

This is recipe #204 only 90 left to go!
