Book Blogger Hop

Book Blogger Hop is hosted each week by

This week's question is:

Why did you start your blog?

Hmmmm....why did I start my blog.
Honestly, I thought it would be a better forum for my group of "Friday Friends" to discuss things. Better than email.  But it never really caught on with them.
If you go to the beginning of my blog in 2007,  there is a bunch of rambling that no one would ever understand. (it's my friends from all over the country discussing and answering some random questions, which I had posed to them)
That was short lived, because them I discovered food blogging.  Then book blogging, then photography blogging, etc.
I had separate blogs for each, and then I decided 'screw that' it's my blog, my hobby, I can do whatever I want in ONE blog and WAH-LA!  Here it is.
It is 68% a book blog and 32% food and other stuff.

And that's why I started this blog.
You?

Hi Debbie, I'm visiting from the Book Blogger Hop at Ramblings of a Coffee Addicted Writer!

I started a mommy blog in 2007. In 2014, it morphed into a book blog, when I discovered reading challenges and ARC's. ;)

Here's my Friday Bookish post.

Well, I, for one, am glad you started your blog!

My son talked me into starting mine when he was home for summer break one year.

Nice story about how you got started.

I basically did the same thing...I wanted to talk about books in my own personal space.

Thanks for sharing, and Happy Hopping!!

Do your other blogs still exist, languishing in the Internet out there? Or did you delete them? I started my first blog as a genealogy project where I could post progress my Pierce cousins and I had going as we worked on a family history project. Easier than emailing several different people. That way, any of them could log in and see where we were and what documents we were still searching for,

Then food, books and life posts crept in so I started Squirrel Head Manor

I like your reasoning!

Some people are able to juggle multiple blogs well, but I don't think I would be one of them. Of course, I'm a one act circus myself. I can't seem to write about much besides books. I love how you combine everything here. It gives me the chance to know more about you. :-) Thank you for sharing!

Have a great week!

I have 2 blogs but it is hard to handle 2. I like the one blog and eventually I will add more misc. to my blog and not just book reviews.
