Today is Tuesday--- which means I'll be joining up with Diane at Bibliophile By the Sea and her First Chapter, First Paragraph
Tuesday Intros.
Where, bloggers post the first paragraph of a book they are thinking of reading --- and get everyone's opinion to see if it grabbed them from the beginning or not.
My paragraph:
"What's a girl like you doing stuck in a place like this?" the bartender asked, muscles straining against his hotel uniform as he threw down a cocktail napkin in front of me.
I looked around: three bar-stools, four fake dusty palm trees, fluorescent lighting. This was the kind of join that offered vending machines in lieu of room service.
Should I keep on reading?
What do you think?
This is my book
It might not be for everybody, but.... it's
A memoir--which I love, a spiritual search, which I love, kind of funny, which I love.
I think I'll keep reading.

I have several of these types of memoirs sitting on my shelf unread. Now I want to add this one to it. Haha It. I like these types of memoirs too, although it's been ages since I last read one.
This does sound interesting. 30 religions by her 30th birthday. Wow. I'll be watching for your reaction to this.
I like memoirs too. The funny opening paragraph appeals to me. I'd keep going.
I'd be interested in seeing where this one goes.
This sounds very funny; I do like a good memoir.
I love books about spiritual quests. I've added this to my list. Enjoy!
