This and That

True Story! (above)

Good morning!
I feel as if I've been gone for a long time,
and yet, it's just been 4 days.
4 long, glorious days of reading.
It rained up at the lake, so there was little to do except read.
So I did.

In fact, this was my view for most of the long weekend:

I had a GREAT time!

On Saturday afternoon, there was a break in the rain, so we took a walk.
Everything looked so beautiful and green, that even tho I had forgotten to grab my camera, I had my phone, so wanted to snap a few photos.

(sigh)

The Handyman walks in front of me all the time when I stop to take a photo.
He knows that I am taking pictures.
He sees me stop.
But he keeps on walking.
He's like that.

This is the Handyman's FAVORITE Hardware store in the whole world.
We can never, ever, make a trip to the Lake without a trip to the little town nearby and the Hardware store.
Did I take a little side trip to the bookstore?
NO!
What's wrong with this picture?
(not this actual picture, but the BIG PICTURE of me not visiting the book store and him, getting to go to the hardware store)
(sigh) to be fair, he was working on a small plumbing problem at the cabin.
I worked on... finishing 3 books.

While in town, to get some plumbing supplies -- I took  a few pictures of
Chief Joseph.
He was just hanging around the street corner.

Check out the library in the background!
It's a sign!
?? to read!

Now I'm wondering if Carl and the Handyman are related. Your weekend sounds heavenly to me.

What a great weekend. I love the photos that you've got here, and I would love to visit this area. That's the beautiful thing about reading blogs from different parts of the country in the world. I see so many places I'd love to travel.
