My week is not going as planned.
Well, that and I'm a procrastinator.
(sigh)
Never the less..... it's Book Blogger Appreciation Week!
Book Blogger Appreciation Week is an annual event originated by My Friend Amy in 2008 that ran for five years, and has now been brought back after a hiatus by The Estella Society.
Day 3:
Have you ever read a book because of a book blogger? Be it a good book or bad, bloggers recommend books every day of the year. Sometimes we take their advice and it’s great! Hello every graphic novel I’ve ever read! Sometimes, it’s not so great. Damn you Like Water for Chocolate (ducks). Today, tell us all about the book or books you’ve read because of a book blogger and be sure to sure to spread the blame around.
OR
Conversely, what is a book(s) you’ve attempted to push on everyone and their mother? Was it a success or a failure? What book would you push on me RIGHT THIS MINUTE?
Have I ever read a book because of a book blogger? Hmmmmm.
Have I?
HELL YES!
(sorry)
Heck yeah!
Almost every fiction book I've read for the last year, but my biggest reading change because of Book Bloggers has been Non-Fiction.
Just this year I discovered Non-fiction November.
I LOVED IT... it was like all these bloggers have read such great non-fiction that never crossed my radar.
It's been my favorite genre` lately---I feel as if I just discovered it.
Books I learned about just this past November?
Oregon Tail
Thanks Lake Side Musing!
The Lost City of City
Between the World and Me
Thanks Care's Books and Pie!
Wonderful, Wonderful, great, amazing non-fiction!!
There is a 2nd part to this question...
oh wait, it was an "OR", whew, because if I had to push a book on you...I couldn't. It's too hard to pick just one.
I will be stopping by everyone else's blog to see if they answered this question and then of course putting them on my wish list.

OMG! Thanks for the linky-love! :)
I've always dabbled in nonfiction but have gotten into nonfiction on audio because of bloggers. I love nonfiction audio!
I'm not much of a non-fiction reader, but, like Kathy, I've found that I do better with on audio. So, I slip it in from time to time. I want to read the Oregon Trail book at some point.
Great post! From one procrastinator to another! I'm not yet a nonfiction reader, although I've been getting more and more tempted by book bloggers like you! I'm definitely planning to read Between the World and Me soon -- hopefully this month.
I've gotten into more books just because of book bloggers. I'm sure there are some I've read because of them. For now I can only recall I read the first of the Dr. Dody McCleland series, A Dissection of Murder because of Cleopatra Loves Books. It was an enjoyable read.
I love nonfiction though I don't read as much of it as I used too. I have Oregon Trail on my TBR too and The Lost City of Z for exactly the same reasons you do!
I finished The Finest Hiurs, that was the last non-fiction I read, but I enjoy some here and there. Oregon Trail sounds good, must get that one.
Thanks for the mention... it's been a great year for nonfiction!!
I bet I would love the Oregon Trail!
I haven't read any of these, but they all sound good. I don't often read nonfiction, but many of the ones I do read came recommended. Of course, that goes for quite a few of the books I read too.
I have been meaning to get around to The Lost City of Z. I really really have to get on that!
